Readable Feeds

Streamline Your Feeds

Readable Feeds can filter out ads and other junk from your feeds so that you can concentrate on the content. It can even repair crippled feeds that only show small excerpts instead of the full content, saving you the time and hassle of leaving your feed reader.

Readable Feeds is brand new and there is a good chance it may fail spectacularly on some feeds. Any and all feedback would be appreciated!

How does it work?

There are 3 key ingredients behind Readable Feeds. Arc 90's Readability experiment provides the algorithm for extracting webpage content. Nirmal Patel's Hacker News Readability script provided the inspiration and initial code. Finally, throw in bit of glue code by yours truly to make everything run on Google App Engine and voila, Readable Feeds is born! Grab the source from the Readable Feeds GitHub repository.
